Based in the heart of Cheshire Emma Shawcross has a wealth of experience covering a wide range of disciplines within the industry ranging from food education to behind the scenes work for celebrity chefs. During a career spanning over 20 years Emma has taught Children how to cook through her work with the Academy of Culinary Arts and has written numerous recipes and articles for cook books, websites and magazines.
Having learned her trade at the Michelin starred Chester Grosvenor as well as other prestigious restaurants in the north of England Emma has proven to have unrivalled knowledge of her craft at all levels and her friendly, approachable and professional manner has led to the high demand for her services as a food stylist and home economist responsible for renowned professional chefs during industry events such as The Taste Cheshire food festival in Chester as well as Manchester, Liverpool, Wirral and Bordeaux food festivals. She has also been a judge at other events including the International Cheese awards and young chef of the year.
Her ongoing passion for education has also led to her becoming a catering lecturer, NVQ assessor and mentor and she has worked in food education in colleges and catering schools across the North West as well as being a mentor for junior chefs.
Last but not least her desire to continually learn, develop and grow the industry has allowed her to obtain her role as development chef for Taste Cheshire and enabled her to work with a number of companies on product development and take to market strategies as an advisor.
